My client Nancy and I have known each other since her daughters were small children. They’re both married now and have started their own families. She used to tell me how when she was young she developed very early and was “blessed” with extra large breasts. Some girls would love this about their bodies and others would find it rather annoying. She felt the latter. She grew up a good catholic girl and didn’t like the comments and the looks she would get from certain people. Over the years she would wear clothes to make them appear smaller, undergarments that not only diminished their size but actually left dents in her shoulders from the weight of her breasts. She showed me the marks on her shoulders once. She even told me that after the ravage of time and having two kids she felt self conscious being naked in front of her own husband. Finally one day she told me that she was getting a breast reduction. She always had a smart and healthy attitude towards dieting and was in great shape and felt her breats were keeping her down. She explained that the doctor would be reconstructing her breasts and by using her own tissue and removing excess loose and stretched skin, she would not only have new and improved perky breasts but they would also be substantially smaller. I was excited for her because I knew this was an issue that bothered her for years. Needless to say I was thrilled to see her when she came in for her next appointment. Like most clients that have to have surgery, or anything important or around the holidays, they always book their appointments around life’s events! When she walked into the salon the first thing I noticed was that aside from looking beautiful, she looked so thin! Her breasts didn’t necessarily look smaller but instead looked higher and she had a flat stomach and longer torso. For years her breasts made her look thicker in the midde from their weight and the fact that she rarely wore fitted clothes that showed her body. Aside from having to get new bras and under garmnents, she was now able to wear clothes that could accentuate the very body she spent years trying to hide. She was reborn and wished she did it years earlier. I was so happy for her. She had a glow about her that she still wears to this day. But all that being said, The best was what she once told me months after having the surgery. I asked her what she had planned for her weekend and she told me it was her wedding anniversary and said that she was going to have a romantic weekend with her husband. So jokingly I said, “you two still have sex?!?” she replied, “are you kidding? The girls are out of the house, I don’t have to worry about getting pregnant, and with my new boobs there’s no stopping us!” I love you Nancy!
You still got it!
